Hand controls usually refers to adaptive-, assistive- or modifying devices installed into a vehicle as to aid drivers in operating driving controls by only using their hands. Some cases, other body legiaments like knees or elbows can be exerted to operate some controls.
Steering assistive devices is seldomly chosen or installed due to the high cost involved and/or custom options required. This also complicate the re-homologation of the vehicle since the OEM design is changed. Steering conversions is not common since many other options available may solve your dificulty.
However, "Primary A" controls seems to be the most common type installed worldwide.
This is mostly accelerator & brake controls on automatic vehicles AND clutch controls if manual transmission is required.
"Primary B" and "Secondary" controls is usually confused with- or referred to as the same type of controls. Primary controls, as per definition, is to primarily move, operate and control the vehicle. Secondary controls can be more thought of as auxiliary or comfort related controls. Devices for this type of controls might be required when drivers experiencing difficulties with their hands or when the controls is somewhat out of reach.
